In addition to a quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year increase in home lending, Quicken Loans Inc. expanded the size of its mortgage servicing portfolio.
As of Sept. 30, 2016, the Detroit-based firm serviced $229.0 billion in residential loans.
The servicing portfolio grew from $215.0 billion three months earlier.
The data, along with other operational metrics, were disclosed by Quicken as part of the Mortgage Daily Third Quarter 2016Â Mortgage Origination Survey.
As of the same date last year,
the servicing portfolio stood at $186.5 billion.
Residential loan production came to $26.8 billion during the three months ended Sept. 30 of this year.
Business
improved from $22.9 billion in the second quarter and $19.7 billion in the third-quarter 2015.
From Jan. 1, 2016, through Sept. 30, mortgage production came to
$69.1 billion.
Staffing concluded last month at
15,000 team members.
Headcount was unchanged from the prior period but increased from 13,000 employees Sept. 30, 2015.
