Following the exit of the top Regions Mortgage executive, the lender will become part of an expanded consumer lending unit at the bank.
Todd Chamberlain has left the Regions Financial Corp. subsidiary, spokeswoman Evelyn Mitchell confirmed in a statement.
The spokeswoman, however, was not at liberty to disclose Chamberlain’s new employer.
Chamberlain was a Regions Financial executive vice president in the consumer services group and head of Regions Mortgage. He joined the lender in 2003 as president and chief operating officer and previously worked at United Guaranty Insurance.
Mitchell explained that Logan Pichel, who is an executive vice president and head of consumer lending, will now lead an expanded consumer lending group that includes Regions Mortgage.
Pichel, who has been with the Birmingham, Ala.-based company since 2005, previously served as national production manager for the mortgage unit.
Residential originations at Regions Mortgage were $8.2 billion in 2010.
Word of Chamberlain’s departure was first reported by Source Media.
