The chairman of the board of directors and the chief operating officer of Walter Investment Management Corp. have been replaced.
Back in October 2015, the Tampa, Florida-based company announced that its chief executive officer and chairman, Mark J. O’Brien, was retiring.
The announcement said Denmar J. Dixon took over the CEO slot, and O’Brien agreed to stay on through the end of the year as chairman.
On Wednesday, Walter announced that
Daniel G. Beltzman has been elected chairman by the board.
He’ll take on the chairman role immediately.
Beltzman is
the co-founder of Birch Run Capital Advisors LP. He reportedly holds a B.B.A and M.Acc. from the University of Michigan.
His LinkedIn profile indicates he previously worked
for Bank of America Securities and Deutsche Bank Securities.
The announcement additionally indicated that
David C. Schneider has been appointed chief operating officer.
Schneider has been with the company since November 2013 and was promoted from his role of executive vice president of Walter Investment and president of Ditech Financial LLC.
He was previously president of CitiMortgage Inc. and Washington Mutual Home Loans and continued on at JPMorgan Chase & Co. after WaMu’s failure.
