Like many of its peers, Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. lifted mortgage production from a year ago. The payroll also expanded.
Residential loan originations during the three months that ended on Sept. 30 came to 7,760 loans for $1.603 billion.
PRMI disclosed the details, along with other operational metrics, as part of the Mortgage Daily Third Quarter 2015 Mortgage Origination Survey.
No data was provided for the second quarter by PRMI, though most lenders have reported a decline from the prior period.
But business was better than in the same three-month period last year, when 6,075 loans were closed for $1.225 billion.
All of the latest mortgage production was generated through the retail lending channel.
The Salt Lake City-based company
said that it serviced 10,692 home loans for $2.169 billion as of the close of the third-quarter 2015.
The servicing portfolio
expanded from a year earlier, when it stood at 8,630 loans for $1.724 billion.
Staffing at PRMI finished September 2015 at 2,024 employees.
Headcount increased from 1,865 people as of the same date last year.
